'Supporting leaders today to create a brighter tomorrow for Welsh Public Services - a celebration of 10 years'

Overview

For the thirteenth successive year we are delighted to announce the annual One Welsh Public Service Leaders' Winter School, which will be returning as a live residential event to be delivered in the beautiful setting of Nant Gwrtheyrn, North Wales.

Building on its success since 2011, the programme has been specifically designed in response to the key development needs of Wales’ most senior leaders, and those working within the top three tiers of Welsh public service and voluntary organisations.

Drawing upon the knowledge and expertise of a renowned community of international speakers, the overarching theme for Winter School this year will focus on 'supporting leaders today to create a brighter tomorrow for Welsh Public Services - a celebration of 10 years'.

Benefits to you

This unique 4 day ‘stretch’ programme will provide an opportunity to review and refresh your current skills and gain insight into cutting edge leadership practices. You will explore innovative ways to ‘deliver the business’, using a wealth of global knowledge and experience.

As part of the Academi Wales 10 year celebration, the theme for Winter School 2023 captures the highlights of the Winter School programmes over the past 10 years.

Thoughts from delegates of Winter School 2022 were:

"It was an intense course, and I was out of my comfort zone a number of times but still really enjoyed it and found it thought provoking. it was also nice to network after so long of not doing so, albeit online."

"Despite being virtual, the Academi Wales Winter School was a brilliant learning experience. They really thought about the programme and how to craft a unique learning experience. As a senior leader, it was reenergising to spend time away and to focus on my leadership."

"I was concerned about being out of the business for 4 days, however, being out of the business and working on the business helped enormously"
