Mindfulness ‘practice’ is a way of training the mind to increase levels of sustained awareness - of oneself, of others and of the environment. In cultivating this self-awareness we can be more skilful at using our energy – mental, emotional and physical – in a way that increases our inner resources, rather than depleting them.
The session is ideal if you want to set up your own mindfulness practice group in your team/organisation, or if you wish to practice as an individual.
We will be using breathing and breath and body practices, the kind you would find in any of our face to face sessions.
All you will need to join a session is a phone. A room with a speakerphone will be necessary if you are planning a group session, or a quiet place with a mobile or landline if you’re joining as an individual.
Benefits to you
You will be able to:
- develop keener self awareness so that you can
- identify, and manage the stressors in your life
- manage your relationships more effectively
- present yourself more authentically
- identify moments in the day when you need, and can create some ‘head space’
This learning programme will help you to develop your leadership behaviours in the following areas:
Learning and self-awareness
Drive and resilience
Open to all public and third sector staff in Wales. We recommend that you have some experience of mindfulness in order to get the most out of the session.
