MathQuill in Thinqi LMS

To compose mathematical formulae in Thinqi LMS you must use specific key strokes to form your intended output. On this page you can find some examples of these key strokes as well as links to other pages with more detailed (and complicated) mathematics.

Basics

All Mathematics can be written by using your computer's keyboard. For example: simply typing 1 'space' 1/2 will render the fraction 1 and a half, where 'space' represents 1 tap of the space bar.

Simply wanting to write (2+3) or [4+4] can be done by using the following strokes (2+3)[4+4] however these don't scale when using fractions. So it's important to know how to using the following: \left(\frac12\right) . This makes the parentheses scales automatically to the height of the fractions.

Taking things a step further enables you to write \sqrt{x^3} which renders as Square root of x to the power 3.

Many symbols can be written simply by typing \ 'space' followed by the name of the symbol. For example \ pi or \ alpha or \ sin.

There really is no limit to what you can write, so long as you know the correct sequence of keys.

Try this one: \sum_^n i^2 = \frac{(n^2+n)(2n+1)}{6}
