Interactive

This activity allows users to directly interact with the content – for example, they can enter their own answers to compare side-by-side with a model answer. The model answer allows learners to compare their own long-form answer to a question with one which you have pre-entered. This is useful in cases where more complex responses are required and helps learners put the question into context.

How do I add a model answer?

Start by clicking the button next to the model answer content block. Alternatively, you can drag and drop into your authoring area.

How do I edit the details of a model answer?

To edit your model answer, click on the pencil icon. This will trigger a pop-up.

Enter a title in the 'Title' box followed by a short description or question in the 'Description / Question' box. You can then enter your model answer in the 'Model Answer' box.

Learners will see this displayed beside their own answer once they have submitted it

Click 'Save and close' once you are ready to publish. If you want to preview how your model answer will appear first, click 'Save and preview'.

This will show you the model answer as it will appear from the learners' perspective. Note that they will not see the model answer until they have submitted their own.
